Best vocabulary flashcards! October 5, 2008 This little book is easy to carry, you can study the vocabulary words and their meaning anytime!
Why didn't I read the reviews? August 28, 2008 Annoyed that they're not flash cards. This makes putting the tough words in your pocket to practice throughout the day. I've yet to take scissors to the flip book to make flash cards, but perhaps that will work well.
Great notecards! July 24, 2008 The GRE flashcards are great. Could have been presented a little better, maybe as actual flashcards, but the book helps to keep them all together. Very beneficial to have word used in sentence as well.
GRE Lifesaver June 2, 2008 These flash cards are fantastic; they helped me to a perfect score on the GRE Verbal section. While it helps if you use these in conjunction with other GRE exam prep guides, these cards can serve you well on their own. Note though, this is a flashcard 'flip book', not a set of true flashcards. If you're looking for real English flashcards, try Vis-Ed's line of cards, but be aware that their English flashcards are very basic.
Bonus GRE tip: It helps to know several languages for the GRE verbal section. Many of the 'increasing difficulty' words are foreign words imported into English. Look out for them! This vocab book points you in the right direction for these, but the list is not exhaustive.
Great starter flashcard deck May 12, 2008 The deck is a bit bulky, but I like the fact that they are bound, so that I wouldn't lose any of them. I also like that the synonyms are listed along with the definition of the word, and that there is plenty of empty space for me to make notes. It would have been great to have antonyms as well.
