Why has psychotherapy faltered so much in the past four decades? July 14, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Why has psychotherapy faltered so much in the past four decades? "Eleven Blunders that Cripple Psychotherapy in America: A Remedial Unblundering" seeks to answer that question and turn the profession's fate as a whole around for the future. With plans to restore the faith in modern psychotherapy and condemnation for those who have brought it down, "Eleven Blunders that Cripple Psychotherapy in America" is a complete and comprehensive examination of the issue. Deftly composed, "Eleven Blunders that Cripple Psychotherapy in America" is highly recommended for college library psychology collections.
Outstanding addition for clinical psychology June 12, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book will exceed your expectations. As a psychologist who worked for one of the authors, I can attest to the credibility of this work. The book is exceptionally well-written; typical of these two authors. This is an exceptionally lucid presentation of what is flawed with behavioral health care, and how to make it right again. The authors brilliantly take the reader along an incredible journey related to how mental health care, especially psychological care, has blundered its way along missing tremendous opportunities to make better lives for everyone. If clinical psychology as a respectable profession can be saved, this is the work that illuminates the path to that salvation.
