As Tom Flores and Bill Parcells said--Great book February 21, 2006 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
As a college and high school line coach the O line has been my priority. This book tells you how to accomplish the fundamentals. Fundamentals in the O line are the key to offensive success. This book explains the fundamentals well and gives experienced coaches some great coaching points. It is not about blocking schemes. Blocking schemes have to be tailored to each individual offense, but the fundamentals are what make the schemes go. I especially liked the pass protection and goalline blocking chapters.
Don't expect much October 14, 2005 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this book because of the editorial review thinking that it was all that and more. This book is an overview of the most basic O-line info. No call system, no blocking schemes no nothing. If your looking for detailed techniques, drills and such this book is NOT it.
