Product Description

Pink, pink, pink. More than anything, Pinkalicious loves pink, especially pink cupcakes. Her parents warn her not to eat too many of them, but when Pinkalicious does . . . she turns pink! What to do?

This sparkling picture book, filled with such favorites as pink bubble gum, pink peonies, pink cotton candy, and pink fairy princess dresses, celebrates all things pink while showing that being yourself is best of all.

5 out of 5 stars A fun book   October 13, 2008
The little girl of this story just loves the color pink, and when her mother makes some absolutely pinkalicious cupcakes she just cannot get enough. Indeed, she eats so many that she turns pink all over - what can be better than that? However, when she goes too far, she finds that you can indeed get too much of a good thing. It's a lesson learned, that the best thing to be is just you!

This is a fun book. My four-year-old and I enjoyed the little girl's antics - she didn't listen to her parents, but she learned her lesson. The pictures are brightly colored and quite funny, as is the off-beat story. We both enjoyed this story, and we think that you and your young reader will as well!

3 out of 5 stars Good book   October 6, 2008
This book has great artwork, but my daughter liked Purplicious better. We thought we would try this one. It's a good book, so I hope she's more interested in it later.

5 out of 5 stars Hot Pink Review   October 1, 2008
This is another absolute favorite at our house. If your little girl loves pink or loves cupcakes....this is the perfect book!! We were even lucky enough to see the musical when it came through our town last summer!

1 out of 5 stars Terrible message for children   September 30, 2008
I almost bought this book from a Scholastic order through my daughter's school b/c she LOVES pink, however another mom and I were talking and she warned me about this book, stating she had ordered it and was appalled by its content. I marked it off my order and instead looked through it at the bookstore and boy was I glad I didn't order it. The other 1 star reviews are ALL absolutely right about this book. This book is just full of bad messages for children. I am all for fun, silly books for children, but I didn't find this book to be either of those, more of a "how-to" book on bad behavior, bad eating habits, disrespecting your parents and being a brat!!!

1 out of 5 stars Worst Child's book out there   September 15, 2008
I am a nanny and read this book aloud one night before bed. I have to say this is by far one of the WORST children's books I've EVER read. How did this book get published in the first place? Seems like the author got real distracted with her "point" of the book (by the way, what was that again?) All I saw was a very rude little girl who did whatever she wanted regardless of what her parents said, there were hardly any consiquences for her bad choices and in the end... no good lessons learned! I hate this book and would NEVER buy it!!
