Simple and effective. August 17, 2008 Brain Wave Vibration teaches exercise so simple it may not be taken seriously. But just try it. In a matter of minutes, tension melts and things change. People have noticed and commented that I practically glow with vim and vigor. I feel better inside and out. It's amazing. It's pure and simple. Do it and understand!
Powerful method for changing your habits August 16, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have read a number of books by Ilchi Lee, and this one is the most comprehensive and accessible. It is most obviously a book about brainwave vibration, a simple technique for quieting the mind and getting in touch with something deeper inside. I first felt some suspicion toward brainwave vibration -- how could so simple a technique really change anything for me? But after experiencing it over the past few weeks, I really have noticed quite a difference in my ability to change my thinking when I start to feel anxiety or stress coming on. Brainwave vibration seems to help me get in touch with my deeper, more peaceful self -- and it now helps me get there more and more quickly. I feel extremely grateful to have learned and to have been able to practice such an effective technique.
But the book is much more than an instruction manual. It is a wonderful book that inspires and gives hope. It has a simple, direct wisdom to it that seems, like the brainwave vibration exercise, to cut through thought and touch a deeper place inside. It strengthens my confidence that each of us has vast potential inside to create a future that is limited only by what we dare to dream.
So Great! August 15, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I loved this book. I have read many other books by Ilchi Lee and I feel that this is by far his best book. The ideas are expressed so simply but are very profound. When I practice Brain Wave Vibration I feel healing energy flow down the entire length of my body when I stop moving my head. It is so relaxing that one night I used this method to help me get to sleep when I was having trouble. I feel that everyone would benefit from this book at whatever level they approach it from. I highly recommend it!
Creating self healing August 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Brain Wave Vibration is so simple, yet so amazingly powerful. The author clearly details the brain-body connection in a way that really made sense for me. The book is a great reference tool, as there are examples of many different exercises for clearing the mind and kicking in the body's natural healing power. When I feel tired, unmotivated or sluggish, I just focus on my brainstem and shake the dust out of my head........sooo refreshing, soooo simple, sooo effective. A must try.
A New Definition of Health August 12, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Our current approaches to health care have done much to extend our life span, but our health span may not be so impressive. American men, for example, can expect to experience some kind of debilitating illness by the time they reach age sixty-seven, and women can expect to experience the same by age seventy-one (World Health Organization). Thus, you can expect to spend most of the last decade of your life in ill health.
When thinking about the definition of health, we should think about more than just the mechanical functionality of our bodies. We should consider the quality of our actualy being and the content of our moment-by-moment experience. Our technological society has, in many ways, given us a more confortable existence, but it has also separated us from ourselves. The key is to evaluate the invisible energetic element that cannot be so easily assessed by scientific investigation, but that has been understood intuitively by many generations of people across cultures.
Our lifestyle today could be likened to a yo-yo that is continuously on the move, up and down, over and over again. If you have played with a yo-yo much, you know that after a certain amount of time the string become kinked and the yo-yo no longer runs smoothly. Every once in a while, you have to stop and let the string unwind. Think of Brain Wave Vibration as a way for you to stopp the constant movement of your mind and let it untwist and become whole again.
This book was recommended by many of my friends who have found it very helpful, I have been doing this practice for several months now, and it's the one time of day when I can truly unwind myself back to the zero point and find my inner calm.
