| Editorial Reviews:
Book Description Embracing the fanatical interest in all aspects of soccer, World Soccer Yearbook 2003-4 examines the game on a global level. Where other books have been club-based, league based, or specific to national teams, this is the first true survey of soccer around the world -- from its origins in the 19th century, to the national, league, and club standings in the 2002-3 season. Exciting action-photographs, dynamic graphics, and illustrated charts take a refreshing and innovative approach to the world's most popular sport.

Where are the players' data? November 11, 2003 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
This is a perfect soccer almanac. One major drawback: too emphasize on the clubs and competitions. The only information I can access about the players is "who's the top goalscorer". Could you at least post some data about "assist, playtime, or yellowcard". No wonder one says that "Soccer Industry" is the worst sport in terms of statistics. Some day you may want to know who scored most goals directly from corner kick, where is the answer? After all, the "World Soccer Yearbook" is by far the best we can get.
Amazing amounts of information October 23, 2003 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
If you are a soccer nut like I am, you have to own this book. It provides an abundance of information of all, yes all the leagues around the globe. The profiles of the best players and the best rivalries is amazing to say the least. Do yourself a favor, if you want to know more about the most popular sport in the world, get this book!
