I grew up with Curious George & had all the books. My son now watches the "new" PBS cartoons & absolutely LOVES them (as do my husband & I). He likes the books too & these "Early Readers" are good for him, because they aren't long & he's even starting to recognize the words (I point to them as I read) also they follow the episodes that he knows from T.V. & he enjoys that. They aren't quite like the old ones I grew up on, but my 4 1/2 year old loves them & so do I. George is cuter than ever....and I am glad he's back for my son to enjoy!!!!!!!

There is no comparing the illustrations nor the story line of this new line of books with the classics or even the updated classics. These are a cheap rip off and would not recommend this book nor the others that look they are from the TV show.
