Product Description Stefanie Pointer, a UCLA senior on her way to a top ten law school, likes herself just the way she is-a smart, ambitious, but simple girl who is comfortable in a tank top, a pair of jeans and flip-flops. When she foregoes her lifelong professional goals and puts the career of her college sweetheart, star football player, Ricky Powers, before hers, her life turns upside down. She must face the blatant disapproval of her parents and the unremitting voice inside her head constantly asking if she's doing the right thing. As she finds her way through the complicated life of a soon-to-be NFL wife, Stefanie finds herself trading in her flip-flops for a pair of Jimmy Choos, reckoning with the fierce competition of ruthless groupies and losing sight of her dreams. What else is she willing to sacrifice in her search for true love?

A Must Read!!! September 22, 2008 I read this book in two days. It is a must read in my opinion, and I read allot of books. Staci is a gifted writer with a bright future. I cant wait to read her next one. So sit back relax and enjoy this one from cover to cover. Growing up in the streets of Los Angeles gave me a real appreciation for how men and women are in the city of milk and honey. When I was a freshman, I lived on campus with two starting football players for the USC Trojans back in 1984-86, so I can relate to much of the truths about athletes in her book. Enjoy.

interceptions by staci robinson August 7, 2008 I purchased this book because I am a fan of the tv show "The Game". I heard that the tv shows' plot closely mirrors that of this book, and there is a lawsuit pending. I wanted to see for myself. What I found was a book with extremely similiar characters, some with the exact same names and likeness. If the rumors are true regarding a lawsuit, it will be very interesting. That being said it was hard to judge the book because those similarities left me in that likable zone that previosly existed in my mind. I can't like something more than I already do. The author's writing didn't leave me holding on to my chair. Ms. Robinson did an excellent job in developing the characters and storyline, however her writing style was humdrum and mediocre in getting the story across.
Couldn't put it down! July 14, 2008 I love the TV show The Game, so when I found out that there was a book that the show is more than likely based on, I had to read it! I love the way Robinson explores how easy it is to lose yourself in the world of someone else. I have to agree with C. Ross in that the ending seemed kind of rushed. I like to think that the ending is an opening for another novel to pick up where Interceptions left off. Regardless, it is a VERY VERY VERY good story and an easy read.
Very Good Read! July 3, 2008 The characters in this book really resonated with me. Ms. Robinson's style of writing made me feel as if I personally knew some of the characters! I finished the book in one weekend and was left craving more. What a debut for Staci Robinson!! I can't wait for more of her writing! Buy it, you won't be able to put it down!
football fan June 29, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I was given Interceptions by my wife because I am a football fan. I literally couldn't put it down, the book is very well written and sheds insight into one of the darker sides of college and pro sports. It is an often told story of golddiggers vs. upstanding women compellingly composed. An excellent read for any sports fan.
