Editorial Reviews:

Book Description
Thoroughbred racing's most complete statistical reference tool is now available. When it comes to Thoroughbred racing in North America, one book has it all. If you're a Thoroughbred horse racing fan, owner, jockey, trainer or breeder, your library won't be complete without your copy of The American Racing Manual 2003. The American Racing Manual 2003 is the most in-depth Thoroughbred racing guidebook available. The American Racing Manual is considered the "Bible" of Thoroughbred racing since its inception more than a century ago.

The 2003 edition is filled with a tremendous amount of valuable Thoroughbred-racing statistical data and information. It includes stake histories for all Grade I, II, and III races; winning Beyer Speed figures for all graded stakes dating back to 1992; an alphabetical listing for all champions and leading sires and broodmares dating back to 1936; top five trainer and jockeys for every North American meet run in 2002; an expanded Eclipse award section; expanded sire listings and sales results; the breeding year in review; expanded foreign coverage, including leading jockeys, trainers, and owners in England, Ireland and France.

In addition, there's a complete review of racing in 2002, which includes all graded stakes charts for 2002, past performances for all graded stakes winners, and a recap for every stakes run in 2002. Triple Crown and Breeders' Cup statistics, principles of handicapping and betting by ARM-2003 editor Steve Davidowitz are also included in this slam-packed volume.

NEW FEATURES:

* Expanded Breeders' Cup statistics.
* Profiles of major European tracks, with track diagrams
* Lifetime past performances for Seabiscuit, Gallorette, Lady's Secret, and Shuvee, added to the 25 greatest Thoroughbreds of the 20th Century.
* Major Canadian stakes histories.
* More photos including the 2002 Eclipse winners.

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Important and neccessary for the Statistical Handicapper   August 7, 2003
This is a very important book if you want to have detailed stats and information on jocks, trainers and horses.

For someone in the business like myself, this is an invaluable resource.

You cannot find these stats anywhere else, and it would be next to impossible to compile them yourself.

Very worth the price, and a good job by Steve Davidowitz.

Best Regards to all, MC -TheStickRules.Com
