Best Youth Football Coaching Book...Ever! March 29, 2006 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
As a 20 plus year veteran youth coach I have just about every book ever written on coaching youth football. If you have to have one book this is it! Coach Wade explains from top to bottom, how to be a successful youth football coach. For new coaches he explains why and how to run a football squad. For experienced coaches he gives you insight and well articulated information on how to make you a better coach. This book has it all! Thank you Coach Wade for taking the time to share your coaching experience with us. If you decide to write another book I will buy it! Coach JT
The Definitive Book on Coaching Youth Football March 15, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Coach Wade's book is thorough and comprehensive. This mammoth tome (420 pages) is the youth football coaching book by which all others will now be measured. It is a must-have for the novice, as well as the experienced youth coach. There is no other book available that comprises so much information with such exacting detail.
A great start to coaching youth football March 13, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Coach Derek Wade has begun a terrific series of football coaching books with "Impact!" volume 1. He shows you how to get your program off the ground from the very beginning, in a clear, logical presentation.
Future volumes will deal with offense, defense, special teams and other topics of urgent interest to youth football coaches -- I am looking forward to all of them!
Highly recommended.
New to coaching? This book is a must! March 11, 2006 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
The author is a very talented writer and this effort is no less than stellar, in my opinion. Impact! is informative first, but also incredibly detailed, witty and humorous. Overall, it's a very good read and I look forward to the upcoming additional volumes 2 through 4.
