The coolest, funniest, most empathetic books for young readers!! July 8, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
The Hank Zipzer series is amazing. It is so funny and yet moving. My son has become very empathetic of others and how they view themselves. Without prompting, he said, "I don't know why Hank thinks he is stupid, he is so clever and creative. Not everyone is smart in the same way." And this when he was in second grade. We have followed Hank from the beginning and try to get as many others to read this series. Hope you do too.

A wonderful engaging series of books that my 8 year(going on 9) loves to read. The stories are funny, hold attention and pass along a useful message. Highly recommended to kids in 2nd grade or higher. Particularly good reading with kids who may have a learning challenge as they can identify with some of the characters in stories.

My son loves these books. He laughs out loud when reading them. It is a wonderful feeling to see him more excited about books than video games now!

When I placed the order it noted six books, I only received 4 books, this is the first time since I used Amazon that an error has been made. I still need to contact the sender to see what/how to correct the error.
Very entertaining and insightful May 12, 2007 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
My son has learning problems due to sensory integration disorder so is not exactly like Henry Winkler in that regard. However, I think he can really relate to the struggles Hank faces even when he is trying to do things "right". My son has never openly said that he can relate (he is 7) but I think the stories are meaningful to him even he doesn't quite know why.
