I have been trying to learn the constellations forever...and have used lots of different resources to do so. This is it..the intuitive and delightful presentation has fired up the entire family and we are all learning from age 4-46. Great.
Great book November 6, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
This is a book written for children that respects their intelligence. One of the best guides to the night sky for adults not informed about astronomy. I met in Block Island two students that were teaching celestial navigation at the Maritime Institute there that recommended the book to us, sailors ignorant of the complexities of the stars motion and declination. Once I got it the sky never looked the same.
worth every penny August 22, 2006 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
We found this book at our local library and after renewing it many times purchased our own copy. This book is simply wonderful. It introduces both kids and adults to the constellations through stories, quizes, and scientific information. There are star charts for each season that show you the stars as you would see them outside. On the facing page you then see the connected constellations. This book is really a great treat.
