love these things! February 28, 2008 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I love these little things! i'm always cold, and you just take one or two and stick it in your pockets (i like mine in my back jeans pocket to keep my butt warm...) and you're off for a night on the town no matter how cold it is! I know they're for skiing, but I use mine for braving New England winter weather.
Plus, they stay hot for so long, they usually last until the next morning. (just don't fall asleep with them in your bed...)
Heat Whenever and Wherever January 23, 2008 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
These packets are really good! Open one up in sub zero weather, shake it, and it warms up for 18 hours! You can put a few in your auto for emergencies, house in case the heat goes off, take some camping, hiking, anywhere! Rip the packet open, shake it and within 15-30 minutes you have instant heat for 18 hours! Just keep it dry and you have heat!
A basic chemical reaction (iron powder, charcoal, vermiculate) inside a small packet reacts when oxygen (air) comes in contact with the packet when you open the outer packet.
These are really good to use anywhere! It's what they used at the 2008 NFL Giants VS Packers game to help keep warm!
Ecellent Product!! January 19, 2008 1st of all, these hand/Body warmers were all big. I thought some would be small and some larger. But they were all the Perfect size and the heat in them lasts ALLLL Day! Turned out to be a WONDERFUL Christmas present!! Thank you!
Good warmer, but too large for hand warming purpose. December 30, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The Heatmax Hand & Body Warmer is a great warmer and last for several hours (4+). However, I should have purchased smaller warmers so we could stick one in each jacket pocket (right & left sides) and keep both hands warm at the same time. The warmers I purchased are too large for this purpose and I could have attained better valued savings had I purchased smaller warmers. Something to consider when you make your purchase.
note the size October 4, 2007 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
I notice some people think this "Hand & Body Warmer" is too big, being pocket-sized. If you want a smaller, glove-sized product, check the listing for "Heatmax Hot Hands 2 Handwarmer" (note: without any "Body" in the name).
Although these products do take several minutes to warm up completely, that's fine: I prefer a slow steady heat that'll last a long time, and that's what they do. I'm not cold when I first go out into the cold anyway, and thanks to these things, I'm not cold for the rest of the time, either.
