I've tried many different programs and this is the one that really helped me most. It gradually guided you to increase your vocabularies and to understand basic grammar in an non-intimidating way. However, as a visual learner, it would be a huge plus if I could also have the lesson book to read along(the booklet included is not a lesson guide). Still, I'll recommend this to anyone who wants to learn Spanish.

Pimsleur rules - I have several different Pimsleur language CDs and you would be surprised at how quickly you can pick up the language this way. A great supplement to college or high school language courses.

Excellent teaching tool; however, was not informed that it was Spanish Spanish vs. Mexican Spanish at the outset.

Warning do not buy this course if you are not American. I guess it must have been aimed at folks wanting to learn S American Spanish anyway but the American/English translations/ explanations really grate after a short while. In fact because of this I found the course totally useless as after trying to listen just a few times I gave up completely.
If you need to learn European Spanish make sure it is aimed at a European audience.
A complete waste of money for me.
I gave it 1 star as one has to rate an item but I wouldn't have given it one.

I'm warning you do not order this language course. It is horrible. It is totally in Spanish, there is no translation into English, rarely an explanation, and the Spanish is random as to subject matter. If I didn't already have 3 Spanish colleges courses under my belt, there is no way I would learn Spanish through this hodge podge. What a waste of time and money.
