4 out of 5 stars Great, but not the dramatic impact of Short Game Bible   April 26, 2008

I first read the Short Game Bible and found this really improved my game. I did not find the putting book to have that dramatic an input but it was still very insightful and helpful.(21 handicap)

3 out of 5 stars Putting by the book   March 25, 2008

The book if filled with a great deal of interesting facts about how most golfers, including the pros, mis-read putts and the causes of those mis-reads. I'm a fairly decent putter, about 30 or so putts per round, and found the descriptions about misreading putts more informative than the exercises. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to practice putting at the my golf course in an undisturbed area during the day, so I practice either on carpet or on a hardwood floor. If you're not a good putter, I think this book will help, especially if you practice. Otherwise, take lessons from a pro and get immediate feedback.

4 out of 5 stars A bit much for the average golfer   December 23, 2007
0 out of 1 found this review helpful

This book is the most technical resource on putting I have seen. With limited time to study, much less play, the game, it found it's way into my "I'll get to it someday" pile of reference books. Personally, I think his smaller work 'Putt like the Pros' has the majority of the meat of the subject without the extra baggage for the average golfer. Now, if your goal is to become the best golfer you can be, well, maybe you ought to read and head this excellent book. One star off for being a bit overwhelming for the average golfer.

4 out of 5 stars a must read for golfers   September 18, 2007
a comprehensive book on putting. A little repetitive and long to read but with some very important address, swing and strategy ideas.
Only the pure pendulum swing is covered. Golfers with other type of putting swing may not agree with Pelz's technique.
