The Witch Doctor and the Anthropologist May 23, 2006 9 out of 16 found this review helpful
Whenever I think about dice-control and dice-setting, I'm always reminded of the story about the witch doctor and the anthropologist. The anthropologist says to the witch doctor, "Tell me, wise one, why do you always make a circle of chicken bones surronded by pebbles and dance around them three times before you pray to the gods?" The witch doctor looks askance at the anthropologist and says, "Because I'd be a darn fool if I didn't!" Do I set the dice before I shoot? Absolutely! Why? Because I'd be a darn fool if I didn't, that's why! And anyone who sets the dice would be a darn fool if they didn't buy this book first.
My Winner's Bible April 28, 2006 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I have been working on my dice control by using this book step by step as my bible of dice throwing. I have underlined and studied this great work by the world's two greatest dice controllers. It is hard work but I have now noticed that I am not a random shooter anymore.
Thank you Frank Scoblete and Dominator, you have written a great book that craps players will find instructive and enjoyable to read as well.
A Blast of a Book April 4, 2006 8 out of 10 found this review helpful
I saw a television show about Frank Scoblete and the Dice Dominator and then I bought this book to see what was in this dice shooting and controlling the dice stuff. The book is really good and has page after page of great pictures showing you everything you need to start creating your own controlled dice throw.
The book has excellent betting advice and also practice advice. The book also has comments by many of the Golden Touch Craps instructors and also from the Captain himself the man who owns the world record of 147 throws before he crapped out. I am amazed at how detailed the book is and how much you learn from it.
I am constructing my own practice table to go with the information in the book and I hope to take on the casinos in a few months. The book makes it clear that you really do have to practice a lot to be successful and that this is not some magic bullet that is easy to learn. That sold me. The scammers always try to make it seem that there are easy ways to beat the casinos. There are no easy way to beat the casinos but this book shows how it is done.
Excellent Book to Beat Casino Craps January 27, 2006 7 out of 9 found this review helpful
Frank Scoblete has written maybe twenty books on all aspects of casino gambling and each book I have read has been excellent but I think this one is his best book because he and Dominator have teamed up to give us a step by step analysis of the Golden Touch Craps throw. There are almost one hundred pictures in this book and they show how to do the controlled throw.
The book discusses how to bet once you are a controlled shooter and it cautions you to be careful that you don't make bets your throwing skill cannot overcome. There are great charts in the book that show you your edge at different Sevens to Rolls Ratios. Random is one seven for every six rolls but if you can get to one seven for every 6.3 rolls then you have the skill to overcome certain but not all bets in craps.
The book has great betting advice for how to stop the random rollers from destroying your bankroll.
The Golden Touch Craps dice control instructors are also given a lot of space to explain many aspects of how to prepare your self to beat the casinos. There are even words of wisdom from the Captain the great player who recently rolled a phenomenal 147 rolls before he sevened out.
I don't think many players can get to the skill levels of the Captain or Frank Scoblete or Dominator but I think from reading this book you can with practice get some edge over the game of craps. Winning is what it is all about and this book is about winning.
Winning at Craps January 4, 2006 8 out of 9 found this review helpful
Craps is supposed to be a game that is random and cannot be beaten unlike blackjack with card counting. This book shows the only way to beat the game of craps in the long run and that is with the Golden Touch craps dice control throw taught by Scoblete and Dominator in dozens of detailed pictures.
This book shows the controled throw from beginning to end and how the dice should spin in the air, land and hit the back wall in such a way as to give the player the edge over the game. The types of bets you make are impportant too because not every bet can be overcome with the controlled throw. You must bet properly on yourself as a controled shooter and also you must bet properly on the random shooters which are most craps players.
This book has great material and is a must book for craps players looking to get the edge at the game.
