A Sports Nutrition Encyclopedia August 28, 2007 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
As a formulator of dietary supplements and sports nutrition products, I have collection of hundreds of books and scientific journals on nutrition. I found this book to be an excellent desk reference on sport supplements. It is concise, easy to understand and full of the "need to know" information that will give you the honest truth on the ingredients and products that are available in your sports nutrition and health food stores. I highly recommend it to anyone who is serious about educating themselves regarding performance nutrition or those who just want results!
A great tool for educating pros to the average Joe about Fitness Suppliments August 24, 2007 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
I am Involved in a fitness contest at the age of 49 years. Where to start! there are so many suppliments and so much information ot there. But this book has it all and the information is guiding me through some amazing results in just six weeks. Its simple, straight to the point and easy to understand. The best thing is the price this book is worth many times more, like I said from athletes to the average joe. This wealth of information is exactly what I needed to learn facts about what it takes to get fit. I have learned so much. And I am feeling GREAT. Thanks you guys
Completely Satisfied August 21, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book has taught us me how to take supplements to enhance my performance in the gym and in sports. There is a lot of conflicting information out there that can really be counter productive. After reading this easy to follow book, I have complete understanding on how to excel at the gym and on the field. Since I am close to being forty, I am excelling against people who are ten years younger than me (and I look great). This book is the true authority on supplements and nutrition. If you are a serious athlete, a part time athlete, or just want to be in the best shape of your life this book will give you the egde you need.
Comprehensive and Effective August 21, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
Just finished reading this book. It really is an amazing source of information for anyone who is serious about their health, nutrition, and athleticism. What I like is that much of the information on supplements is backed by notable research. I would recommend it to athletes and anyone else looking to enhance their performance.
