5 out of 5 stars A brilliant book!   September 4, 2008
I purchased the book for my daughter who is going through a crisis in her life right now. Before I sent the book to her (in Italy) I read it and throught it was perfect. The message(s) are right on and getting them across with Maria's poetry was brilliantly done. My daughter loved the book and even wrote about it on her blog. Maria, if you OR your readers read this, please check out our (my daughter and my) book, RALLY CAPS. IT IS ALSO AN INSPIRATIONAL STORY WITH A MESSAGE.

5 out of 5 stars Just Who Will You Be   September 3, 2008
I bought the book because I'm an admirer of the Kennedy's of which Maria is. It is an easy read and very well written. If you are struggling to find out who will you be, this is a must read. It's simple and to the point in a little book.

5 out of 5 stars Thought provoking   September 1, 2008

I really enjoyed this little book that is a thought provoking and fast read. It is an excellent gift for a teen entering high school or a senior getting ready to make choices building a life in the adult world. A wonderful tool for women of any age to read every 5 years or so to help them rethink and evaluate whether they or living the life they envisioned for themselves. They may wish to redirect goals for the future and better enjoy the now. It may give them the validation they need and may not be getting.

I've been reading different books to help me answer questions like what do I want? Who do I want to be? Where did I get lost? How can I stay happy? For this reason, I found and read this book. Among the other books I read, this one provided one key answer to the question "how do I know what I really want for my life?". And this answer could be found easily in other books. Tsuang Tse and Confucius had given the same answer: by listening to your heart, by following your heart, you will know what you really want. Confucius even told following your breathe will help yourself find what you really want for your life. Obviously, Maria Shriver didn't do much readings in such topics during those years when she was lost. However, she was able to find the same answer by herself and shared it in her book. In my opinion, this is the only valuable point of her book and it's been in other theories or philosophies. The only other info I found useful was the list of question in the end of the book. Other than that, I have to say this book is only good for students that just came out of schools.

Knowing following my heart was the solution. But I didn't know how to follow my heart or "listen to" my heart. I then found Stephanie Dowrick's Choosing Happiness: Life & Soul Essential. Almost each sentence of this book is wise. I found this book on google's book web, read a few pages of the book and ordered it on Amazon. I am glad that I found this book.

5 out of 5 stars Journalist Maria Shriver   August 13, 2008

This woman is a journalist with a capital J. She needs to get back to what she does best! ... I'd love to see her Face to Face with Senator Hillary Clinton: ask Hillary Clinton how enriching and rewarding it is to be the Presidential Primary candidate who Earned more votes than any other Presidential Primary candidate in the History of America.
