It's an adventure on getting to know yourself... January 7, 2008 I enjoy this book because you get to discover things about yourself that you may not have realized. It's also good because you want to keep it forever and review it months or even years later to see how/if you have changed. It's a journey to self-discovery. I'm reluctant to fill in all the blanks in case it gets into the wrong hands...but one day I'll just do it and whoever reads it will have to realize I was simply going on how I was feeling at that particular time in my life. ;-) I bought the book for my closet friends and for a couple who have been married for 20 years;I bought them "All About Us". I cant wait to hear what they have to say. LOL. ;-)
Inappropriate and Base December 7, 2007 8 out of 13 found this review helpful
Not at all what I expected. Certainly not appropriate for an older relative. The glowing recommendations make me worry about our society. Do you really want to know about a parent or grandparent's sexual fantasy and if it has ever been fulfilled? Are you curious about the relative someone likes least and why, who they would kill if no retribution, who they think should be killed and if someone picks their nose? If so, this is the book for you.
Excellent way to challenge yourself and leave a personal legacy December 4, 2007 I picked this book up a few years ago, and when I finally committed to filling it in, I was surprised that I actually succeeded! The contents include various formats, including short answers, checklists, and lists. The book starts off with basics (current name, address, short family tree), then covers a simple history, and moves into personality, opinions, and beliefs. The questions gradually become deeper, more personal, and truly give the writer a chance to express his/her very essence. I am a scrapbooker, journaler and life story writer, but these projects are long lived and ongoing. This book is a COMPLETED overview of who am today, so if I die tomorrow, I have this book as a legacy to leave for my family. I actually didn't write in the book, but took the questions and translated them and my answers to a separate notebook. I look forward to coming back to it years later and adding "current" information for some of those areas as well. Highly recommended to any people with the above interests, who are worried about not "getting it all" done, scrapbooked, or recorded.
Redonerulz November 21, 2007 My husband and I both have completed this book and then we swapped, It was like we were dating all over again. It is a beautiful thing to learn things you never knew about your loved one.
Excellent October 29, 2007 I actually taught a class on Happiness. I think this is a great book because I believe that if you do not know yourself how can you expect anything from others??? I also recomment ALL about US for couples both marrried and seriously dating.
