How can you not love this guy?!?!? It is nice to be reminded that there are still some traditional, GOOD people out there. A great, funny read.

4 out of 5 stars amusing tidbits of life   May 19, 2007

Note to Steve Doocy - dude, did you make up some of this? Come on, all of this really happened to you and your wife? This book is filled with mars/venus type philosophy and anecdotes from various stages of marriage. Clearly Mr and Mrs Happy are generally, though not always, happy, and they appear to be one united team. I wish Mrs Happy had written more from her perspective.

5 out of 5 stars Haven't had time 2 look at it yet!   March 22, 2007

2 out of 5 stars A bit disappointed.   March 22, 2007

I expected a bit more after all the hype on "Fox and Friends". I am a fan of Steve Doocy's, but this book wasn't as entertaining as it was claimed to be. I read it in one sitting. I found myself 'pushing forward' in hopes to get to the good parts that everyone raved about, but I never quite found the humor. It's an OK read for a rainy afternoon (or when you're just sitting, awaiting for your child's dance practice to end). Get it from a friend or the local library. Not worth buying for your own personal library.

4 out of 5 stars entertaining and life lessons, all in one!!   March 14, 2007

Marriage takes hard work and then children become a part of it.........and the work gets harder!!! The good side is that the rewards become even greater!!
This is an hilarious look at marriage through the (sometimes!!) quite different viewpoints of a husband and wife "team". As you read this book and learn about the Doocy's life, from the Wedding day tales to the Honeymoon, from the challenges of parenthood, birth through college (and then more!!) to the very real challenges of a long term forever relationship, this is a wonderful story. They also take on topics of a mature nature, such as "The Love Machine by Kenmore" or the neighborhood swingers and their invitation, to the important area of troubleshooting a marriage. Steve Doocy makes his life an open book (literally) that talks about the confusing communications that can and do go on between a married couple. He reveals the great joy and deep love that they find in their relationship , with all the ups and downs and the hard work that goes into nurturing, building and keeping it all going. It seems that one of the "magic" ingredients is a strong sense of humor, the ability to laugh at our own flaws and a deep sense of respect and honor for each other that is never allowed to waiver!
I really enjoyed this. Just to clarify, I am married 30 years (yes to the same man!!), 4 children, one son-in-law and a grandchild. Good things take hard work, great things take even more!!!
