5 out of 5 stars Fabric Leftovers   March 23, 2007

Excellent book with a nice number of quick gift ideas. For those of us who can't bear to part with that 3 inches of lace, the yard or two of unique yarn or the samples we have tried on our sewing and embroidery machines...not to memntion the scraps "we might be able to use someday", we can NOW justify keeping these bits and pieces and using them to create other one-of-a-kind gifts. Well written, excellent pictures and instructions and lots of ideas that will start those creative ideas blooming.

5 out of 5 stars Sewers, start your machines   February 23, 2007

This is a very creative book that is for anyone who loves crafts and sewing and who has a ton of scraps, like myself. The photographs are lushious and instructions are well done and easy to follow. The projects are varied so that there is something for everyone. Many of the projects can be completed within an hour and lets you use some of those features on your machine that you haven't touched. A great read and a book to keep in your library.

5 out of 5 stars Finally - A Use for All Those Little Bits!   February 8, 2007
5 out of 5 found this review helpful

I just can't throw away little pieces of fabric and, finally, I have a solution. Well, not just one, a ton of solutions - all presented with clear, easily accessible instructions (and lots and lots of colorful picture examples). The text is fun and helpful and the book is beautifully designed. I'm short on crafting space anymore so I don't buy many craft books but this book is well worth the money whether your style is country or Bohemian chic!

5 out of 5 stars small fabric scraps--I thought I was the only one who saved them!   February 4, 2007

This book is great. Has many ideas that will stimulate your creativity. And you will be so glad you saved all those small scraps even though you never knew why! She even has ideas to use thread pieces....this is a book I will share with my sewing friends as we look for quick projects that cost little if anything. This would be a good book for kids too who are learning to sew small projects by hand and machine.

5 out of 5 stars Treasure Trove of Ideas!!   October 31, 2006

This book gives practical and useable projects for using those little fabric scraps. And, being fortunate enough to own one of the author's creations, I can also say that the results "in hand" are stunning!

A great book for gift ideas from materials you already own.
