How to Use an Airbrush May 6, 2007 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
While not an exhaustive treatment of the subject, this is a very good reference. The foundation information needed to be successful in selecting and using an airbrush for model work is provided along with a variety of sample projects that demonstrate techniques. I had prior experience with airbrushes when the book was purchased but I did learn some valuable techinques and tips through the book.

More About How to Paint A Model September 20, 2006 17 out of 17 found this review helpful
This is an excellent book but the title is a bit deceptive. It spends a little bit of time at the beginning describing airbrushes but does not go into much depth. There is not much on how to select a great tool. Instead it details techniques for painting models. In this, it does a very good job.
I bought this book because I wanted to learn about airbrushing for painting model railroad cars and structures but I know absolutely nothing about them. I still know very little. I did learn some fascinating ways to paint model cars, airplanes and figurines, though.
If you want to learn techniques for doing the actual painting, especially on hobby models, this is a great book. Its illustrations are lavish and clear as are the explanations. If, on the other hand, you want to learn about the brush itself in terms of choosing one and maintaining it, look elsewhere.
perfect for beginers February 24, 2006 13 out of 13 found this review helpful
This book is perfect for anybody who has just purchased an airbrush or has just a little exerience. This book is slanted to modelers (cars, planes, and fiqures) and as such I would not recomend this book if you are not intending to use your airbrush for that purpose. But the book does take you thru a step by step procedures for which airbrush is right for which project, and list some other equipment to use. It even gives a quick description for how to build a cheap spraybooth. The author of the book is mostly known for his work in model cars so many of the techniques that the are slanted toward that purpose but he does delve into someother types of models. The thing that I most appreciated about this book is the ALL of the pictures are in color.
A helpful tool. February 24, 2006 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
If you are just begining to use an airbrush this book is a must have. I bought the book before my airbrush gun and the book helped get me the proper equipment and techniques to use it properly. I have since turned off the T.V. and created beutiful memories.
