Nice book April 5, 2008 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
I purchased this along with "The big book of handmade cards and gift wrap" - really like both of them. I figure to have lots of fun and save $$ too.
Truly Great Book January 16, 2008 3 out of 4 found this review helpful
I love love this book. It has so many great ideas inside. The cards are easy to make and the instructions are very easy to follow. I highly recomend it to anybody who likes to create her own cards
Thumbs up August 13, 2007 Simply Cards is a wonderful book for beginners like myself. Sally uses different techniques with stamps, assorted papers, masks, embossing powders and watercolors. When your finished you have a wonderful 3-D card for yourself or a friend. I would recommend this book to anyone from beginner to craftperson.
Card-making Simplified September 29, 2006 30 out of 30 found this review helpful
This book is excellent for the beginning card maker, but also challenging enough to satisfy the experienced. I especially like that each project offers a second option using the same or similar materials. The photos are clear and very helpful with the instructions for each card. Each card project is on a two page layout making it very easy and clear to understand. And "simply" is the key word. There are no highly involved, time consuming projects. You could sit down after supper and enjoy the satisfaction of a finished project before bedtime. In this busy time constrained world, what more could you ask for?
This is one for Hero Arts Stamp lovers! August 24, 2006 27 out of 27 found this review helpful
This is an utterly fantastic book. In fact it was so good that I purchased 3 copies, 2 of which are gifts for my sisters for Christmas. The book uses a lot of Hero Arts Stamps in it card designs, and as I and my sisters love the range of stamps produced by this company (we have lots of the stamps in our rubber stamp collection!) you can understand why I thought it would be a great book to purchase. The book ranges from easy and simple designs to more complex ones for experienced card makers. In the first section of the book, you are shown the range of products used in creating the card designs, the various types of inks used are explained, what tools have been used and also telling you about the wide of papers and card products available for card making and how/when you would use them.
