I've been working my way through Art Stamping Workshop with the Artists of the Round Table since January, and it's been an incredible adventure! Like Holy Moly Mackeroly before it, ASW has the feel of a conversation with an old friend, providing just the right amount of encouragement for this novice to pick up a carving tool for the first time and feel successful from the very beginning. The book is gorgeous, but even better, it's doable - I'm learning to carve, I'm learning to use my carvings on different surfaces, and I'm learning to make beautiful things incorporating my carvings. I couldn't be happier with this book or its author!

Easy to understand, good, simple directions and excellent examples and pictures. If you are new to stamping or experienced, this book will give you a lot of help and inspiration!
Gloria brings a human touch March 3, 2006 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
Gloria Page's book not only offers good technical instruction but helps bring a sense of fun and relaxation to stamping. Her projects can lead to many variations so the book will be useful for years to come. She is generous in showing how she has made products that she has successfully sold over the years. Readers would find her other book, "Holy Moly Mackeroly!" very inspiring also, although it is not exactly a "how to" book. Highly recommended!

Gloria Page has produced a book that can teach the most novice crafter to carve ... yet still inspires advance stamp and eraser artist to try something new and view their old methods from a different perspective. I've been participating in Gloria's on-line workshop as a moderator for A.R.T., (Artist of the Round Table) .. since Jan. '06. Gloria is a humble and sincere artist that enjoys teaching and helping others learn new techniques. I predict she will go far in the art/craft world in the next 10 years. I'm in awe of her warmth, compassion and ingenuity.

Gloria Page's new book is a wonderful resource for textile artists, as well as paper and clay artists. Her step by step illustrated instructions on how to carve rubber stamps are very clear and concise. Gloria discusses tools, different ways of printing and mediums that can be used. The projects offered are creative and interesting and Gloria also gives variations on the projects. I would highly recommend this book for beginning and advanced textile artists and those who work in other mediums.
