1 out of 5 stars thumbs down   July 14, 2007

I tried one of the designs on a t-shirt, and ruined a perfectly good t-shirt. I don't know how they got the effects in the books, but they certainly didn't follow their instructions.

5 out of 5 stars So Much Fun & Easy To Do!   July 14, 2007

I looked through multiple clothing reconstruction books and this was one of my favorites. I like the way it's laid out, it is easy to read, easy to follow and for those who may not have basic sewing skills, it even outlines the different hand stitches and how to make them. The patterns are for the most part really cool garments and definitely stuff I'd wear. Funky, fun, innovative and you can even make accessories. Great practical book.

4 out of 5 stars For the younger generation   July 5, 2007
The designs in this book are definitely for the young & slender. I was looking for ideas for tshirts left over from a charity function. I did get a few ideas from the book. But most of the fashions were for the pert 16-23 age group.

3 out of 5 stars ok   July 3, 2007

overall it had some cute ideas but many of the ideas were useless and nothing i would or anyone for that matter should wear. but the directions were very clear and it rated how hard each project was. it was an overall ok book.

4 out of 5 stars Not for most people over 25...   July 1, 2007

While the mostly-baring fashions created with t-shirts will not be attractive to those over 25, many of the looks can be altered to suit some of these "older" folks for casual attire. The sheer variety of styles and exuberant fun the author is having makes this book an interesting addition to a rainy-day craft shelf. If you have a daughter, monitor carefully the creations she makes from this book. Some of the fashions are just barely legal!
