Strange Projects November 8, 2007 15 out of 35 found this review helpful
I thought the projects would be more interesting to make in this book. I guess I found them kind of silly and they really did not appeal to me. Why would anyone want to make a felt ice cream sandwich, a green tea bag, a tooth with a crown, or a lonely dollop? Maybe I'm too old for this book. There were only four projects I liked and they were the little felt dresses along with a tiny white felted bear, the felted bunny and the felt flowered pincusion. Sorry I couldn't rate it better I really wanted to like it. On the positive side the book's format is quite lovely and all the photography is great.
Disappointed November 1, 2007 3 out of 19 found this review helpful
I liked the projects in this book but I was hoping for more than just a set of instructions and pattern for each item. I am looking more to exploring the creativity behind creating a plush creature and found this book to be wanting.
Great Book with Interesting Projects September 26, 2007 5 out of 9 found this review helpful
This book has a lot of interesting projects from different designers. I like that many of the projects are small and don't require tons of prep work or tedious sewing so the book is ideal for someone new to sewing and embroidery. That said, I have only made the cross paperweight so far and already found a mistake in the directions. It was a small issue, but left me staring at the book dazed for a while until I realized it was a mistake. My only question for the artists is "Where can I find moss green felt?" I've checked several places and all I have to choose between is a lighter version of a green-apple green and a dark-emerald green.
