The ULTIMATE guide.. WOW June 15, 2006 19 out of 20 found this review helpful
Please, I actually felt DIZZY thumbing through this book! It is not just for quilters, the tips, guides and hints apply to anyone who has an interest in sewing. Example: how to tell if your machine needle has a burr or is even slightly bent. I do not propose to be an experienced quilter, only one who appreciates so very much the time it took to put this well written and well thought out book together. I'd like to take a vacation just to read it through without interuption! If this book piques your interest, get it! I can't imagine you being disappointed.
The quilters ultimate Visual Guide; from A-ZMy Quilting Bible March 21, 2006 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
My title says it all. This book is a great reference to techniques in all aspects of patchwork and quilting. From the basic to the more advanced skills. Sections on threads, needles and their uses, techniques for trapunto, sashiko, foundation piecing, you name this book has it. The illustrations are simple, well planned easy for the beginner and experienced quilter to follow. i believe this book should be on all patchworker/quilter's book shelf.
Best reference book for would be quilters March 11, 2006 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I an new to patchwork, I have been collecting ideas and fabric for ages but was never confident to start a project. This book has 'lifted the veil' so to speak and broken quiltmaking down to edible chunks, not the indigestible banquet I always thought it was. Using this quide I can build my prowess and it's always there for the next step or question. Well worth having
