Great Book! November 20, 2007 1 out of 2 found this review helpful
Wonderful book. I recommend this book to any knitter who longs to design their own sweaters.
The best knitting book I own! November 2, 2007 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
Before I purchased this book, I was kind of skeptical. I read the other reviews on here and a lot of them said that it is hard to understand. I do not believe that is the case. So far I have designed my own top down raglan and I am working on a sweater using her top down simultaneous set-in sleeve method. I love this book!! It has helped me to improve my knitting skills in so many ways. I highly recommend this book.
very useful technique and inspiring October 26, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
As someone that likes hand sewing, I've no problem with seams in knitted fabric. Yet I still find this book very interesting, most of the techniques I've never heard before. The technique I find the most interesting is the simultaneous set-in sleeve. Knitting in the round and from the top marries so well with knitting. The instructions are clear and succinct.
This book is thin, but it worths every penny. I'm really surprised by the quality of the information, especially considering how many craft books nowadays are sold by their glossy photos and beautiful typesetting instead of their contents. I seldom buy books without previewing first, but I'm glad that I did this time.
Great book, despite the dated cover! October 5, 2007 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This book was a recommended one for a class I'm taking. I thought when I got it that it was a book I would have never been attracted to by the cover, title, or flipping throught it, even. However, there is a wealth of knowledge inside about how to fit a sweater EXACTLY as you want it to fit.
Good, basic book. August 26, 2007 2 out of 5 found this review helpful
Good information but could use an updating. Some of the patterns are very outdated.
