A Wonderful Book for a Beginning Collector! May 18, 2006

Tom's extensive knowledge of Matchbox shows in this well thought out beginner's guide to collecting Matchbox cars!
This book does not show every variation of each model, but presents an overall picture that gives an example of virtually every model or casting. The description of the model, packaging and price are presented, giving the novice collector an idea of the model's age and price when in superb condition. The photos are large, clear, and fantastic quality.
Tom's little book will be the one that will be carried to the toy car shows and the yard sales throughout the country.
The history of the brand is presented and the collector gets a view of the hobby from the standpoint of an advanced collector of many years. Tom gives excellent advice to the new, young collector and you realize very quickly that Tom PLAYS with his cars!
