This book covers all the esentials of traditional cabinet making.
It was well done, but nothing very revealing or greatly helpfull for me.

I am a new fan of wood work. This book has showed me step by step instructions. Using and knowing carpentry tools is a piece of cake. Designing the product was easy. Thumbs Up!!!

4 out of 5 stars Excellent introduction   May 24, 2007

This book is clear and concise. It covers all the basic of building kitchen cabinets and more. It is aimed at the hobbyist or the small shop.
The book cover all the aspect of building kitchen cabinets wihtout getting into lengthy details which make it a perfect introduction on the topics.
If you have no experience on the topic, don't expect beeing able to build your own cabinets after reading this book. You will however get a good idea on the work that would have to be done.

I found the chapter on finishing too short and somewhat misleading. Finishing kitchen cabinets is very demanding but the author do not insist enough on the difficulty of getting a finish that is durable enough for kitchen cabinet.

3 out of 5 stars pretty good but, could use more detail   April 26, 2007

okay for a general review but, I expected to learn more and found myself disappointed and need to buy additional books.

5 out of 5 stars Great Book   March 7, 2007

After reading countless books and magazine articles from my local library this book pulls it all together. I highly recommend this book for anyone considering building kitchen cabinets. If your new to woodworking it would be worth you time to pick up this book but only after getting a few small projects under belt and gaining some basic knowledge of wookworking
