5 out of 5 stars Not Recomended for female florida fans   January 14, 2008
This is a very funny book, but I would not recommend this book to any female Florida fan.

3 out of 5 stars Where Was The Editor?   December 30, 2007
Do editors do ANYTHING these days? Anything at all? Here's a great, funny little book, totally marred by the fact that it wasn't editted at all.

Clay Travis has a great concept -- he goes to a see a game in a different SEC stadium every weekend for the 2006 season. He's funny, informative, has great cultural insights about the South -- but no editor showed up to fix the things that were wrong.

The book is incredibly repetitious. I think this is because it started out as a series of blogs on the internet, but it should have been cleaned up for book publication. Does he really have to mention that he went to Vandy law School every five pages, or include his wife's home state in every chapter, or repeat anecdotes two and three times? then there's the whole Inclusion of personal life, the personal life of friends, and a multitude of cultural references from the Bush41 administration.

If you like SEC football and thought OLD SCHOOL was the funniest college movie ever, you shuld buy this book. If you like SEC football and know that ANIMAL HOUSE is the funniest college movie every, but at a disocunt price. if you're a Tennessee Volunteer fan, check out the [...] special offer, getting the book AND a box of crayons at one low price.

1 out of 5 stars disappointing   December 8, 2007

I was disappointed in this. The guy needs an editor. Also, the book could have been shorter and less repetitive. Most southerners can't read anyway so I guess this book will just be used to boost midgets up at the table and to level crooked tables in Birmingham. This book does have one good laugh--Bama bangs. John Parker Wilson should definitely get the crew cut now. Try "A Tailgater's Guide to the SEC." It's dope.

5 out of 5 stars A must read for any SEC fan   December 5, 2007
If you are a fan of an SEC school, or ever attended an SEC school, this is a must read. While all college football fans would love this book, those of us in the south will find special humor in lots of different places. This book has a great blend of sports and humor in it. It is perfect for men and women, sports fans or the casual fan alike.

5 out of 5 stars Great Book for any SEC Football Fan   November 25, 2007
I enjoyed this book from start to finish. Clay Travis gives a clear and entertaining perspective on the world of SEC football. His visit to each school and stadium gives a glimpse at the tailgating fans and a little history as well. I learned some things that make me appreciate the SEC even more.
I bought 6 books to give to my fellow Gators for Christmas. I have a new view on cymbal players, corndogs and jorts (jean shorts).
