5 out of 5 stars Awesome book!   January 14, 2008
This is a wonderful, very well written book. My husband doesn't normally read a lot of books, but I gave him this one for Christmas because he is such a huge LSU fan. He hasn't put the book down, and has gone on and on about it. It's the best money I spent all Christmas!

2 out of 5 stars Good at first then a real bore   December 26, 2007

Mr. Bradleys book is another re-telling of the ex-footballer who can't get it out of his head. While he does do a good job of describing the behind the scenes activities of the tigers, his after football story is one thats been heard before. My hats off to him for his accomplishments but to constantly seek out sympathy and judge everyone who doesen't break down in tears after hearing the story as a "just doesen't get it" type is a bit snobbish. Anyways a tolerable read.

This is a heartfelt book that perfectly relates to the felling many of us have had when the glory days are over and adult life is at hand. This is a great read from start to finish.

I loved this book. It's beautifully written and I read it from cover to cover in a single afternoon. The author penetrates the soul of an athlete and gives us a portrait that I'll never forget. I can't recommend it highly enough. If you've ever lost something or someone that you later found impossible to get over, you'll identify with this story.
